Gogglebox’s Stephen Webb sorry after ‘pulling woman into pool’

Glasses box Star Stephen Webb has apologized after he apparently pulled a woman into a beach club pool.

The star, who appears regularly on the Channel 4 show alongside her husband Daniel Lustig-Webb, was first pushed by a friend while fully clothed as part of a prank, according to The sun.

The publication claims the woman, who was not involved in the prank, was chatting with Daniel by the pool at the time. She was then seen laughing with everyone when the prank happened, before Stephen yelled at her and pulled her into the pool.

Responding to the report, Stephen said: “I’m so sorry if she felt upset or hurt by my actions. It was never my intention. I had swum and after drying off and getting fully dressed, a friend pushed me back into the pool.

“I took it in a really good mood and everyone was laughing and joking so seeing her friend sitting by the pool, pulled her around her waist in the water with me. We had a great time together and I felt that was part of the fun.”

Stephen has been a mainstay on the show since its first series in 2013, with Daniel joining his other half in 2019. Stephen has previously appeared with former partner Chris Butland-Steed.
