A popular Teesside hair salon has opened a third branch.
Two Moons, in Ingleby Barwick and Nunthorpe, is “booming” – now owner Natalie McManus has started welcoming her first customers in Guisborough. She teamed up with the owner of the former Spencer’s Hair Studio, on Fountain Street, after deciding to step back from the business.
She will run the new salon with her sister, Ashton Cunningham. But a third living room wasn’t even part of the plan at first, says Natalie.

“It wasn’t something I wanted to do,” she told Teesside Live, “but when it happened I thought ‘why not? “It’s a very beautiful living room, it’s huge.
“We’ve literally taken care of guests, which is fabulous. And we have two rooms to let upstairs.
“We have hired three stylists and a junior. We will reappoint and train staff in our procedures.
“Two Moons Ingleby is booming, we need to go upstairs for more space. And Nunthorpe is also busy, I’m employing more staff from July.”
Natalie opened her first salon eight years ago. Now she hopes to pass on what she has learned to others.
“My goal is more education, for other companies on how to improve,” she said. “We don’t get any support, I only learned how to run a business because I took courses.
“I want to pass this message on to others. It’s hard, getting into business is a whole new world. You worry as a business owner, am I doing this and that, right? not ?
“But if you know what to do, it makes life easier.” She created Natalie McManus Education when she was “bored” during confinement.
“We’ve created a package for businesses and will launch it soon – and not just for hair, beauty and barber businesses, it’s for all businesses.”
